Soon i will be filing a law suit to recover my damages not to mention the pain, the grief and the time, my life wasted , 9 months i waited now over a year since the order was placed i don't have a defender to drive. Did i mention unsafe to drive exhaust fumes inside the passenger compartment, thank goodness the A/C did not work as i might very well be dead to day. The list is endless. enough said . tony Moussis
Not sure you put this in the right thread. David Slater is the dude from Houston I think.

Hello and good day, the dude from Houston that's me the buyer others might say with good cause the dummy buying any vehicle unseen on trust alone. David Salter is the super smart one he is the seller., he'll take your money, use your money till months later out pops up a rusty cruddy looks good from a far defender 110. Be prepared to beg plead for at least 9 months for a defender built just weeks earlier.
Sorry to you all if I sound like a broken record I hate dishonest people, it's not just about money but you life wasted trying to get what you had paid for and to move on. Tony Moussis

So being short on time today and only reading the last few posts, is urban still in business?
Did most of the "builds" get pulled out of there?

FWIW, I ordered some parts from Urban/David Dearborn in January through the ebay store.
Some YRM floor panels.
He reduced the advertised price a little and combined shipping cost and I got them in 2 days.
Your mileage may vary.
I have never had a vehicle worked on at their establishment so can't comment on that side of the biz.

I've seen at least 3 of his attempted builds that had to be towed in at The Shop in Norcross. The last of which a D90 300tdi/auto with a Puma bulkhead and dash that still has a long way and a lot of $$$ to go. It just got brought in a few weeks ago. I think they're trying to figure what to do with it.

All this makes sense....wish I would have seen this thread earlier. I bought a part off their eBay store and it was broken. They told me they would source another one, then a month later he said he was sick, then crickets.

What's the time limit on this? If I bought a defective part from him over a year ago, can I get reimbursed?

Since I purchased my broke part from him via PayPal but on eBay, I have to go through eBay first. However I may have better luck going through my CC.

No idea on a cc time limit. PayPal gives you 90 days but if you have emails stringing you along I bet they will help.
On a side note WTF is wrong with DD? At some point you need to make things right or throw in the towel.

They changed the dispute period to 180 days last year: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mp...y-and-security

Purchase Protection covers all eligible purchases where PayPal is used, as well as payments made through our website. To take advantage of Purchase Protection, we require, among other things, that accounts to be kept in good standing and ask that a dispute be filed within 180 days of your purchase or payment.

The oldest photo there is from a month ago. I wonder if Instagram is a new marketing strategy?

Perhaps taking care of existing customers and fulfilling promises would be a more effective business plan?

I bought my 200TDI (engine + radiator) from David at ULC. He sent the wrong fan shroud so I emailed him about it. For months. No response, ever. Finally, I called in and talked to the shipping manager. He took care of me and sent me the correct shroud the next day.
