under $100 gift, for the guy who has everything

So with threads on this forum about high end dress shoes, tag watches and the like... I figure its ok to ask this crew a similar off-topic discussion...

I've got a b-day coming up and am having a hard time coming up with anything AFFORDABLE to tell my wife and folks that I need/want. Of course, I could tell them that I want a compressor and impact wrench... or a new dewalt cordless drill... or the parts for a disc conversion... or a pelican tool chest... but none of that goes over very well.

So what is the latest and greatest out there for an affordable price? Outdoor/hunting/camping stuff? techie stuff?

You have a woobie? A little more than $100 but oh so worth it:

I have many woobies... but all issued. So this one is worth the extra cash?

Forget the 'cho liner. I think all of us who have served have piles of the standard issue woobies in a closet somewhere.

How nerdy do you want to get?

BeagleBone Black - an awesome embedded Linux computer. Fast enough to stream movies over ethernet to your HDMI TV. Faster CPU and more RAM than the super-popular Raspberry Pi. Hard to find online (everyone's backordered) but Radio Shack--of all places--has some in their stores. The RS kit is only $89 and comes with a bunch of other electronics stuff to get you started. Perfect for a beginner who likes to tinker.

Raspberry Pi. It's an embedded computer like the BBB. A little slower and has less RAM but cheap cheap and super-popular. Tons of fun projects can be found on the internet and built at home. About $40 for the RasPi, plus a little more for a case and power supply. Also available as a kit at Radio Shack.

Wouxun handheld ham radio. It's one of the cheapest ham radios out there. Chinese-made with Engrish instructions but fully capable. If you don't have your ham license, they're easy to get and it's great to have for off-road trips. $99

The skeletool; leatherman; I stopped carrying my larger leatherman because I found a knife, pliers, and screwdriver (also a bottle opener!) were all I ever used anyway.

You can picked them up online for about $55-85 depending on whether or not you spring for carbon fiber styling

Walmart has cheap knock off leather man for under $20.
How about something car or truck related for your mancave?

Do you fish? I usually ask for flies and give a list of what is in season.
