What information can I find out about a vehicle with just the uk reg number..??

Also HPI Check

I did mean to say if you are buying from the UK you should do a HPI Check.

As the V5 is only a document of the registered keeper, and the V5 does not have any information on hire purchase agreements against the vehicle, HPI Check is about the same as acarfax report.

You can get a vehicles full MOT history. https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history-vehicle though you also need the V5 number.
