So, I'm getting a tour of the Cummins regional service center for work-related stuff and instead of focussing on my job, I am fascinated with all the big toys and engines around me in various stage of tear-down and diagnosis. THis one in particular was a cool site.
Seems that a harbor cruise vessel had broke a valve and this was the aftermath......
The piston looked even worse if that is possible to imagine.
Aparently, the unit ran for another few hours after the "mishap" on the remaining 15 cylinders.
Deisels are indeed AWESOME!
