OMG that makes me sick. You know there is no way anyone survived in that truck.

Hope it is a reminder to us all to slow down on these cold and wet roads - especially if on MTs.

SUV? Could be the husband, wife, kids, and dogs. The whole family gone. I don't think even an SD cage would have made a difference. Thank God it was instant.

Kinda. Walking and talking which is apparently a miracle according to the witnesses and recovery folks @ the scene. I ended up in the back seat and had to kick a door open to get out. There was gas everywhere because the plastic tank had fractured. I have a 4th degree shoulder separation that may require surgery. Sucks not being able to pick up a gallon of milk with your right arm when you are a right handed 6'6 260lb man without your shoulder popping and a shot of pain that sends involuntary tears down your face. Beats being dead though. What really sucks is it was dark and the semi kept getting it and no one got his plate so this wasn't my lottery win either.

I guess the upside is Barry can now kick your ass in arm wresteling, which should help his fragile ego.

Glad you made it through Doug. Sorry to hear about that. It's probably a good thing you were in the Disco instead of the 130.

There is no salt put on a road in Russia. So you have to know how to drive in a winter.
It just that people start driving big cars and become very confident without realizing that it is still very fragile.

Wow just wow.

Doug I am glad you made it out of your accident, a Land Rover is certainly one of the safest places you can be on the highway.

I'm glad to hear your ok Douge. My wife totaled her 04 Dicovery a couple weeks ago on black ice. Disco ate a tree, jumped an embankment and landed on its side. She was fine....they really are tuff trucks. Now she refuses to drive anything else other then her new replacement 04 disco.

Feel better Douge could have been a lot worse. One thing went wrong a lot more went right.
