Twisted Defenders / Gumball Rally

Some interesting footage

Apparently Tony Hawk (Gumball Veteran) drove one of the trucks in the 2013 gumball. Some of the footage, especially the Defender being thrown around the track, is more comical than impressive

Without an external cage, all I could think of was how close they came to certain death!

given what they were using it for I would've opted for wider rims and low profile tires - kinda like the Himalaya's - and the stiffest suspension I could find!!

Almost G55 AMG'ish....

Why would an external cage be better than an internal ?
