Tub Mod

Who does this tub mod? I'm assuming ECR or Wolf could do this, any confirmation or alternatives in the Midwest? Approximate cost?

We can sell you the Safety Devices bars to make it happen. You would need to cut out the bulkhead and trim the wheel-wells and adapt the cappings. It really isn't that bad. Just some spot weld drilling and some minor finish work. There is also a kit from Mud UK that takes part of the seat bulkhead away (not all of it) that is quite a bit more DIY friendly. We just did this to a 110 PU tub for a 110 project we have coming up. Image attached.

Thanks, will talk to some of the local defender shops and see if they have done it, and then get back to you on the bar. I can turn (and break) bolts with the best of them but welding is not in my DIY future.

Looks like the same solution as a factory bulkhead removal bar. Selling for about $120 on UK eBay now. Shipping will hurt...

Went with the MudUK version from Lucky8 and got it installed Saturday. Can't believe that I didn't do this sooner. Its a little nerve-wracking to take a sawzall to your truck, but the kit instructions are very thorough and the end result looks spot-on. I'm 6'2" and in combination with seat risers, I can actually move my seat back too far to reach the shifter comfortably. I bet it added 4 inches of legroom.
