I would shy away from a rover transmission if you are doing a swap. Advance Adapters is working on a modular adapter for the LT230. That would open up alot of possibilities. Their new LR series Tcase adapter is available now. It would be worth giving them a call. If you do, ask for Matthew, he is the guy working on the project.

Of the LR options the LT95 is about as good as it gets (with the taper roller bearing conversion for the transfer case), however, a few guys in AUS have gone with a late spec R380/LT230. AA might be interesting.

Either an LT95 or LT85/LT230 depending upon year.

Especially if you mod the xfer case with a taper roller bearing kit.

Got mine from a fellow in AUS. While they are available, it is a sellers market for sure. Check out the marketplace at AULRO. AFAIK, the TRB kit is/was only available from AUS and one company in the UK (nkrecovery) that never responded to my inquiries.

Pete your 110 has the lt85 5spd (aka the Santana gear box) which is also a good heavy duty unit. If you want an lt95, I have a good one for $250 and can put it in the back of your 110 if you'd like. Just need a few days to get it from the farm.

Thanks Paul. Will you be documenting your build here on D-90? Would love to see how you put that diesel in and what's all involved. Thinking of doing same when my V8 finally dies.
