No...it is probably the only thing that Pedro can't take apart and leave lying around the house for Mrs. 'Dro to get on him about ... and make a trip with us all. Still I do wonder where he would put his ground top tent while traveling

Yes I trying to plan a 2 week trip via the TAT this summer TN-KS/AZ area.
I'll end up doing it in phases unless I have more time.
You really need about 5 weeks to do it all and get back.

I'm not sure I have my truck ready in time but we'll see how the next few months go.

I still need to add the following..

Extended gas tank
Full Roof rack
Get and install the hard top.
New M/T's
Maybe switch to OME's
And add a hood mounted spare.

And I think that's about it along with some odds and ends..

I'm not planning on a trailer, just what I can carry.
Packing every day sucks enough

There are a lot of fun places on the way to Yellowstone
The city museum in St. Louis for example
(From our trip there this summer)

As for someone who has done the TAT in 2 wheels ( including the Mississippi and Lake Hill trail part ) I assure you , there are areas of the TAT that require multiple changes of underwear in 2 wheels , I can imagine in 4 wheels you might need a permanent tube.

I don't believe Land Rover did the complete true TAT

As Ed pointed , we discussed in multiple occasions to do the TN part, we can even do the Mississippi part without too many worries ( this sections are like 700 miles )

Never done the Shadows so I can't speak about it

There is no way they did the whole trail, there are sections (and long sections) that are single track or go through OHV only areas..some very narrow canyon sections with extremely deep soft sand. I did this a couple of years ago solo on my KTM 640 went through 4 sets of Tyres in 21 days and nearly died in a big getoff where I got trapped under the running bike with fuel pouring down on me and the rear wheel grinding away at my back protector, just outside of battle mountain Nevada in the middle of nowhere.. I would absolutely love to do this with a couple of people in rovers... Beautiful trip, especially if I'm not trying to break record time this time..I'm ready...unfortunately you usually can't do it until after June due to the snow over the passes..

at best i'm limited to 2 weeks.. which makes KS a destination (how often do you say that) and my Dad's farm is ~20 miles from the TAT there..

Mid May will be muddy to the rockies.. but mostly dirt.
if your going all the way mid June would be better to start.

Thanks Gus.. Penile surgery went well...thanks for the recommendation...Dr Ivan Kutchakokoff remembers you well and said to say hi..... I have since found that since my surgery was such a success I find myself whipping my member out in public and thrusting in the faces of people who I have now come to realize don't really care... I also now find a lot of people complimenting me on its size...people are always uttering..what a dick.!!
I feel much more at home on this board now....
