I will be picking Wife up from work today, she was on that line about 30 minutes prior. Quite a few of her co-workers were on that train...

all 3 of my sisters work at Jet.com HQ'ed a block away, they're all ok. So weird especially since the trains are fitted with a "dead man's switch".

Yeah it's crazy. I dropped the wife at the train at 6:45 this AM so she went through Hoboken about 1:30 before this happened. One of my best friends who lives in Hoboken was heading into Hoboken Terminal on his way to the ferry when everyone started running toward him out of the Terminal yelling "GUN!" and "BOMB!" but not "train" which he thought was weird once he saw what'd happened. It looks like there are a ton of injuries I just hope fatalities were held to a minimum.

Not weird. People think gun / bomb when they hear loud noises. They are conditioned that way by movies and media.

Not me. I'd be yelling "Oh SHIT".
Gun or bomb I don't think would come to my mind.
