Hey Jeff. Here are some that he had posted on here a while back. I could have sworn he had posted one of his dog and his son as well, but I couldn't find it.

If people want to keep donating, I am keeping a running total and I can either send another check at the end of the week or we can use the money to get it to ECR.

Yes, definitely send any donations still. It's not too late for us to give funds to the family as we'll hopefully be seeing them in the future to take a look at Brad's truck.

On another note, it seems that Brad touched a lot of lives and was a better man than we all knew he was. I'm glad to know that we were all able to come together and help the family out. The truck meant a lot to him and his family and we were told they'll be keeping it for his only son. It was great to see a picture of the truck at the service.

I think I'll forward this thread to the family friend I've been in touch with. Hopefully he can forward it to the family and show them how much everyone came together so quickly in honor of Brad.

Also I want to thank John. He suggested Brian and I do the paypal thing and he lit the fire. Sadly he refused to donate any money!

Kidding. BTW I had over 60 paypal transactions from this. Was amazingly fast.

Youre very funny and thanks for the nod... kind of. Ive been in this unfortunate situation before seeing a father of multiple children pass away too early and saw first hand how effective a paypal campaign can be. I didnt however count on just how generous all you guys are...it was amazing to witness.

I agree it would be great to share the thread with the family. I had the unfortunate luck to have been hiking in the ADK's when someone we met on the trail had a massive MI. We did CPR for an hour until the Rangers and EMS got there. My one friend write about it on a thread, it was seen by someone who know the family. They were shown the thread and found us and it really helped them. Certainly a little different, by I think it may help them in some way.

Yeah, thanks to John for making the Paypal suggestion. It worked out better than great.

I'll definitely forward this thread on.

We have another $200 since writing the check. Maybe we can get enough to pay the shipping to get the truck to Maine.

Anyone have an idea what it will run? Last time I shipped coast to coast was about 1500...enclosed.

Maybe ECR has someone they can recommend?

I talked to Jeff Barnes at Barnes auto transport today about shipping my 110 from mass to la and he quoted me 1395 - since he is going that way for me maybe he would cut a deal on the second car - he said he was a week out from getting on the road - said he was putting a roof on his house

Jay,

That is a great price and even better if he kind of discount the 2nd vehicle ( maybe you can appeal to his heart as well )

The usual price from LA to Baltimore ( that is a big hub ) is 1300, so I think if you can get that to Maine is fantastic.

Barry,

keep us posted on that so we can all make sure that we have enough funds to send the 90 to ECR

Guys I dont think we should ship the truck. I just spoke to Barry...Let me know what you think of this. So we take the money and buy a trailer... Lets say Barry and Brian tow it to Vegas. We get another member to pick the truck up in Vegas and tow it to say Utah. Another member picks it up in Utah and tows it to Colorado...maybe even to Brads home town...and so on and so on all the way across the country. It could be a chain of D90 members stretching across the country passing the torch of Brads truck from one to another and then back again when its done.... Id film the whole thing and we could give this documentary to his family. We sell the trailer when we get the truck back to LA and give them the money... Would be a pretty cool legacy. Whos with me?!

I am cool with it but only if we use Brian's 90 to tow now that is documentary worthy!

hilarious. Call me crazy but should we say it should only be towed by a rover? If nothing else it would increase the drama....
