This is terrible, I feel for his family. May he rest in peace and his family find strength at this time. Thoughts and prayers are with them even though I don't know him.

Thank you for the update Brian. Perhaps we can set up a paypal for them. It tends to be easiest way to collect money quickly.

It really does just keep getting worse as more details come forward. Like many of us, I just knew Brad in passing through this board, and saw his great attitude, sense of humor, and passion to challenge himself with the puzzles that presented themselves on and off the trail, and the big move he and his family had recently made to LA to hopefully make a better life for them all. What I didn't know was his deep passion for his faith, his involvement in Sunday School, and that his wife is expecting their 5th child soon. I'm on board to help in any way I can.

Wait his wife is pregnant? I missed that. Seriously I can't take more of it. Brian and I only saw him at one or two happy hours but he was a good guy and we both plan to attend tomorrow.

A good example of how nice he was is this.

John borrowed my jack and Brad helped him work on his truck, somehow the truck dropped and the jack got dented. Brad shot me a pm that he felt it was his fault and offered to buy me a new one. I now have two jacks which is awesome. I am kidding but he did offer which was a really nice gesture. Just a good guy.

John, yeah, maybe we can set up a separate D-90 fund to make it easier if anyone here wants to donate. Or one of us can collect the money through a personal paypal account to give to the family.

40? Tomorrow? Man, this just sucks...

His wife was pregnant?! Oh for gods sakes this is terrible....

Brad was a one of a kind. I had no idea how strong his faith was and he certainly didnt preach to us. He never drank anything more than soda at our Happy Hours but was always very excited to attend. He joined me for a few of the NBA play off games between the Celts and Lakers and really seemed to enjoy having friends in LA. His family was in Colorado while he was working here so it was just him and the dog and I know he missed them terribly.

I bought a 95 SWB that had a shot suspension and Brad was the first to offer for me to bring it to his house in Topanga Canyon to help convert it to coils springs.

Its true Im the one that borrowed Barrys jack. Im going to blame it on the jack being overly sensitive but anyway it got dented and Brad was the kind of guy that literally offered to buy him a new one and Im such a jerk I said "get over its a floor jack there supposed to get scratched and dented!"

I have lurked her for the last couple of years. But since I have been busy trying to find a D90 I have spent every free moment logging in to check the board. It has allowed me to see how awesome this community is. I must take my hat off to all you guys. When I was looking at a local D90 Gustavo offered to look at it for me not even knowing who I am. I have examples of other members just as kind. Although I don't contribute much to the board, I am glad I am part of it.
I will continue to follow this tragic story and help out. You guys are great.
