We are up to $985. If we are shipping it, we are basically there for a one way trip.

Chris,

Shoot me an email. Let's discuss making the truck a roller.

Barry

Losing a family member unexpectedly and tragically is blow that most of you can't even begin to understand unless you have been through it. The money everyone has given will go a great way to make a horrible situation a bit better.

As far as assessing and towing the truck though you guys really need to defer to the family's wishes. His wife won't be in her right mind for a long, long time and the last thing she needs is people "helping" her in ways she doesn't ask for and can't control. A documentary movie about taking the truck and passing it on via members sounds like a really good idea, but only if it is something she wants. If it is suggested to her and she has the least bit of hesitation it should be dropped. Maybe she wants to have the truck exactly as it sits now so she can remember him working on it. Maybe she doesn't and wants it all fixed up so their son can drive it some day. Maybe she doesn't even want to think about it for the next 5 years. Whatever it is it has to be totally her decision or we are just bothering her and replacing her wishes with what we think would be best.

Anyways just my two cents from someone who has been through something somewhat similar.

Wow, glad to see more donations coming in. This will definitely help and as Barry said, we may be able to put this towards shipping the truck back East.

Just do there are no misconceptions

Brad's friend Wayne is handling the donations. Brian posted it. As for the truck, Wayne is also handling that. Angela, Brad's wife is not involved. She told Wayne the family loved the truck and wants the son to have it. I would assume other than brad saying he broke an axle and would fix it she has no clue what is wrong with it. Wayne is coordinating it but really is relying on our kindness because he knows nothing about rovers but wants it repaired so they can enjoy it and remember the good memories of being in it with brad.

We will talk to Wayne but I doubt he cares what we do as long as we are not causing harm and the family gets the truck back in good working order. He knows we aren't complete animals.

The film is a great idea, or just do it to do it.

You could also connect the whole thing to something that he felt was important. Use the project to encourage people to donate to a charity he would have supported, or to raise motorcycle awareness/safety...

Could be. It looks like there have been some views on Dweb. Either way, it's great!
