Angry Toyota pickups set records on Antarctic trek-WTF?

http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2012/...ntcmp=features

"...Over the course of their adventures, the trucks set a record for the longest expedition in the history of polar exploration, covering over 44,000 miles combined, while three of the Hilux travelled nearly 6,000 miles each during a double transcontinental crossing that included a stop at the South Pole, each one setting a new distance mark for individual vehicles."

This used to be Rover-bidness! I'm so pissed. DC100 can kiss my ass. Solihull is dropping the damn ball! 2012 and there's still places in the world worth an adventure to get to.

Land Rover has nothing to prove. Been there done that! Land Rover was crossing the uncross able and exploring the world 50 years ago. Besides, driving across some frozen wasteland? Whoop whoop.

Wasn't this covered on Top Gear a few years ago? That was some tough terrain and a bad ass truck.

That ship has sailed. Move on. Time to find another non-issue to worry about.

That was a good article. Got to give Toyota credit there, as painful as it is to say.
