Touring the USA.

I've been driving around the US for a week and a bit now and have some issues that have some up but I think I need an equipped shop and hopefully someone who knows Defender suspension/steering to take a closer look and nail down exactly what's going on. Normally I just do this kind of thing wherever but I just can't get motivated to crawl under in the current weather without jacking things up enough to get either end off the ground to work out what the actual issue is.

Right now I'm in Decatur, TX visiting friends for a day or two and when I get back on the road I'm heading west from here in search of some warmer weather and hopefully getting in some camping/climbing/exploring so anyone in that area who'd like to meet up would be most welcome. So far I've only seen one other Defender on the road, an AA Yellow 90 in the Balconies area of Austin, TX and I'd be great to meet more of you guys. I do plan on coming back east through the central regions as well.

If you make it to San Diego, you have a few options we can steer you to... and it's 78 degrees here right now!

Very nice. I see it parked a few blocks north of me in UP all the time. From the looks of it, you got a hell of a deal.

Odd you didn't see more in Austin. My daily running around I usually see the same 5-6 D-90's running around, mostly in the Westlake area.

There's a couple of D90s in the Steiner Ranch area, on top of my 110 waiting for a new shock mount.

Are you the Silver 110 I saw yesterday afternoon on 114 near 281 headed into Jacksboro? I almost ran off the road trying to look back. Came close to pulling a U-turn.

Yes, that was likely me. I am headed towards roadside rob at the moment and can hopefully make arrangements to ship everything there while I explore the surrounding area, seems like somewhere that I could keep busy until parts arrive. Thanks for the help!

If you see me on the road, wave me down if you like, I won't think you're crazy
