don't get too excited NC natives, they will just end up making fun of all the " red neck fat Americans" JC has a love hate relationship with the States. probably actually more hate. I still watch the show though. new season starts on BBC America next Moday I think.

FYI, TG on BBCA is always one season behind. So whatever they're filming now, you'll see on BBCA in two seasons. You gotta download it to stay current.

Sister's "old" PC + DVI->HDMI cable = recent top gear in full HD (DC Comcast refuses to pick up BBC America HD...) no FIOS nor Cox are not available for me, DirecTV isn't an option as well for a whole other set of reasons.

Yah, HTPC is the way to go. Mac MINI via DVI for me. The first rule of usenet is, you do not talk about usenet.

They were at VIR on Wed. I got a note from one of the groups I instruct with (as did many people) that they were looking for cars to do a free lapping session. Ended up they wanted "fast looking" cars and not fast times. Most everyone who sent in their times appears to have been rejected. Before you ask... I didn't submit because I no longer have a car and couldn't tell you what my full course time was unless I unpacked my lap timer and fired it up.

I went to App and really loved those roads on early Sunday and Saturday mornings. Some great driving just off the parkway between grandfather, Valley Crucis, the parkway and Boone. Give me a late 80's Jetta with studded snow tires and about 8" of powder and I'd be at home/in heaven. I'll be up there this weekend, but not with the Defender.

It's very cool. I have FIOS but instead of using their DVR you can get a HiDef Tivo and a cable card (which providers are required by law to provide). Other than the intial cost of the Tivo, the tivo service and the cable card are about the same cost as "renting" their DVR. The difference is you get the Tivo goodness which includes access online content from youtube etc.
