Haha… I just sent a text to my friend who is a producer at the Travel Channel to do just that!
I bet there are writers & producers everywhere trying to come up with the 'next' show.

The formula already works. Don't fix what isn't broken.

Netflix or HBO should grab it, gives them a great money stream, no FCC restrictions, it would be a blast to watch.

But who has the rights to the show… Clarkson or BBC?

------ Follow up post added March 25th, 2015 04:08 PM ------

There may also be clauses in their contracts for a waiting period before doing a similar show.

Doesn't have to be called "Top Gear"... they could call it "Three Fuckwits Driving Cars" and be golden.

Don't know how anti-competes work in the UK. They are un-enforceable here in California.

Ahhh, yes... you know, I had such high hopes there. But History just turned it into a reality show with challenges only and no real car talk, no reviews, no track, no stig, none of it.

Too bad really. History just can't get weaned off the reality show tit.

Something tells me Mr. Brand likes Top Gear.

Now that I think about it, didn't he do a lap once?

We'll probably never know if it was a plan by anyone, but I'm kind of glad it ended like this. Top Gear was great, not as good in last few seasons, but it never did "jump the shark". Might as well end it now.

Start it up again? If I were any one of the three, I'd suggest that instead of restarting Top Gear that isn't really Top Gear, I'd look into doing it differently.

Timed link worked. Don't think I've ever seen one that old. From Diana's classic 2dr to the Vanquish vs. Maranello. Good times!

i have to admit, this is probably my favorite show...
watching reruns on netflix and the like.
I truly believe that their chemistry is a goldmine and will not have any issues creating an awesome show elsewhere. In all honesty, i would still watch them if it was a basket weaving show....
They are some funny dudes.

Anyone notice what Jeremy Clarkson wrecked about a month ago in Barbados??

Jeremy Clarkson has 'accident' while filming new Amazon Prime show in Barbados - Telegraph

I noticed it a while back but didn't really look hard at the picture until it popped in my news feed again today. Looks like a Rover V8,right?
