Too bad the show had to be cancelled because of his ill temper. That sucks.

Read the article. He has not quit and they have not cancelled the show, yet. They are just jumping to conclusions bass on some thing he said.

Clarkson while a main feature of the show could be replaced by a lot of other presenters. I heard Chris Evans name mentioned. Likely very few hear have heard of him but he's a huge car fan ... Large collection of Ferrari's all painted white.

he is a red head so would be unpopular choice ;-)

Well, end of an era. I think that show works because of the chemistry of the three of them. While Clarkson is the self-proclaimed ring-leader, I think they're all equally important and some of the best episodes are the ones where all three of them are present.

The UK market is probably Top Gear's most important and I assure you no-one there knows or cares who Conan O'Brian is.

I won't disagree that Clarkson has brought some golden years to TG some of us have known it all our lives ... It's like doctor who ... Occasionally we get a new one.

Well ok then.

Isn't this guy a pretty popular redhead in the UK?

Or this guy?

I'm thinking redheaded males do pretty well in the British multimedia game.

God, I hope this is just hype! It's the best thing on tv. I'd have a six pack if I could watch it more often as I laugh my lunch up every time I catch it! Even my 16 month old boy likes it. If so, it's going to be an expensive box set, but it's going to be worth it!

You are describing 5th gear. The competitor program from the other network.

VBH Vicki Butler Henderson is the presenter.

Chris Harris would be a possible ...

I elect they move the show to the U.S. and call on Jay Leno. He has one hell of a garage.

He used my Harley back in 91.

Popular and redhead don't go together. Seriously. That's just the way it is.

Exactly nothing has been confirmed. He has left a cryptic message in his column but is not out and out saying he is leaving. Well I am sure the BBC will be the first to announce it whichever way it goes.

There's a growing movement here in the UK for Guy Martin to replace him.

That just put me to sleep. That would turn it into Fifth Gear. Snooze fest.

Top Gear is popular because is a comedy show. There are a lot of car shows around. A comedy show is made by the comedians.
