Speaking of German quality....I tried to find a Stahlwille ratchet for a while.
http://stahlwille.com/popup.html
Little over-the-top, but I like stuff that no one else has.

------ Follow up post added January 29th, 2015 06:26 PM ------

I've got an extra Snap-on FHL936a ratchet I'll part with if anyone is interested.
I'll post up pics later
I ended up getting an extra because I forgot that I bid on it.
I'll sell it for what it cost me which I think is $55 plus shipping

It's that time of the year again. $99 for pretty much every common hand tool that a Rover owner could need on the trail packed into an awesome travel case.

Jawhorse @ Lowes marked down to $99 from $159:

Shop ROCKWELL Jawhorse at Lowes.com[com.lowes.commerce.storelocator.beans.LocatorStore Bean%40603c603c]&storeId=10151&address1=2700+Rainier+Avenue+South& address2=

If you've never used one, it's a surprisingly useful & semi-portable workstation with a more serious full-size vice emphasis compared to the Workmates. Held my 110's front bumper like a champ while I hammered & pryed the dents out of it. Stock item @ most Lowe's, I think. Pricey special order accessories available for holding specialty workpieces & functions like welding, plywood, etc.

didn't Griots sell Hazet before they went Facom ?
Hey! I missed that the first time around! I like'em, can't afford them!

Yes most of my Hazet stuff is for ze german automobilz - Triple square, reverse torx, etc. Bought when I spun wrenches for a living. They used to be fairly reasonable through one independent tool truck, compared to Snappy or Mac. I think perhaps foreign tools get tariffed heavily in the US.

I don't have a lot of fancy stuff - Mix of some tool truck stuff (snappy ratchets and extensions), a lot of Gray (Canadian company) and other obscure old stuff.

My favorites are the old 1950's whitworth sockets that my grandfather gave me. Used to use them for working on British made machinery in paper mills.

Not the Christmas sale price of $90, but back on sale nonetheless at $100
