It was refurbing of mod 110s to new spec. Newer higher roof hardtops, roll cage, exmoor seats and matting systems, blah blah blah. it would be a good buy. Witham had some 1986 model year ones for sale a while ago. I think they were around 7k mark or so. Basically refurbed then released.

These? Says 20 of them. Seems like a good deal, and LHD available too.

I pretty much hate the higher roof line, but the rest of the truck is nice-

Withams has no Tithonus that are importable to the states. My UK side talks to them every couple of weeks. No 87 or orders and no LHD. Be warned on dealing with Withams if can ve a very painfully experience.

------ Follow up post added February 23rd, 2012 05:30 PM ------

We have a 86 Tithonus being rebuilt now. Should be in the states some time this summer. I'm bring it over for my self. I just don't think people are willing to pay enough to make bring some over for sale worth while.

Nice. I like what they have done with these. The roof line is a bit high, but they are all reconditioned fairly recently and look like a good package.

Why not go for LHD?

They didn't have a lhd hard top. It will be easier to find a wolf canvas and required parts to have both tops than to find a hard top.
I have mixed feelings about the roof line but, I love the roll cage and all the other gimmicks that come with it.

I would reserve my enthusiasm until after the thing is actually at your residence. You may also want to think about PAS and maybe a Tdi swap in the future

Yes I think that to be the case. 110 only.
This will be my second rhd Land Rover, but first Defender, the first 5 all series trucks. So I didn't pass anybody then.

Every once in awhile I pass people while in my Series. I tend to crane my neck to look at them, and subsequently wonder to myself what the f*ck must be wrong with them.

Yeah that is a neat cage. Can you remove the SW roof and sides, replace the rear door with a soft top-type bottom door and liftgate and have both a SW and ST?
