Three days with my new 110

I have had my 110 since Friday and I figured I would post a couple quick observations.
Fun to drive. Much quieter than my 90 ST - duh
It has a fuel light that actually goes on. Shocking!
Same for the defroster light! Speaking of which does it have a front defroster?
Carpet is gross! I am not sure if it is because of the rain or the doors don't close tightly but every matt is wet. The car is like a giant wet dog.
Cleaning a car with this much cage is a bitch!!!! Especially one that sat under a pine tree for a year.

And a couple of questions:
Can you take dings and curb rash out of the steel wheels?
Does exmor or anyone else sell a do it yourself upolstry kit for back seats?
How would it be to drive with no headliner?

"Same for the defroster light! Speaking of which does it have a front defroster?"

Yes

"Can you take dings and curb rash out of the steel wheels?"

Yes, you can weld and regrind them.

"Does exmor or anyone else sell a do it yourself upolstry kit for back seats?"

Yes, exmor you can get it from safari rover or badger coachworks or direct.

"How would it be to drive with no headliner?"

Louder. Not too bad, but you would notice.

Barry,

I have been driving without a headliner, as well as all of the plastic trim peices, for going on 2 years now. I dont really notice it being any louder, but I may have just gotten used to it. The only thing I do notice from time to time is when the weather is below freezing and then suddenly jumps 30-40 degrees, as it does here in the midwest, I will get some condensation that drips down. Should not be too much of an issue for you in socal.
Hope this helps,
Matt

Exmoor makes them but they no longer sell direct, Rovers North is listed as their US partner but they did not carry the stuff I wanted.

I ended up placing my order with John Craddock in the UK as they had the entire line of exmoor. At the time I did not know that Stephen (safari rover) sold Exmoor trim or I would have checked with him as well.

Patiently waiting to try out my new XS black rack heated seats

Looks like a great rig. May I ask what you paid...not to be boorish...just curious? Also, where did you find this one?

Does anyone know if Rovers North had anything to do with the factory winches that came on 110s? My 110 has a winch mounted under the bumper, with a little metal plaque that says rovers north.

Barry,

It cleaned up nice.
I have al the original seat foams and covers from my NAS 110 that are in decent shape.
I also have all the carpets and they're probably in better shape than yours.
I've been through all the pains you're going through right now. Let me know if you need any help.

And yes. You do have a front defroster.
Do yourself a favor and replace the oil cooler lines ASAP.
The headliner can be reupholstered very easily. It would be a great time to apply some sound deadening material before reinstalling the headliner.
