Thoughts on euro steps

I just put these on my 90. Can't decide if they are stupid or not.

I'm a little undecided about them... I'll probably end up with a set on my truck though 'cause the wife hates getting in and out of it...

I think they are not in keeping with the stock look though so on yours I would probably vote no...

I really really like them ..on a 110, I think they take away the essence on the 90.

However, your 90 looks so good, that it doesn't make a difference.

Take them away and give them to the Shrek Project *LOL*

Ha, I consider this a factory add on so I still think it looks stock. Just cant decide if I like them. I kick the driver's side one down every time I get in and out

Yeah they have been on three days. If I dont love them in two weeks they are for sale.

I'm not saying you couldn't consider it stock... but it looks more "series" to me than "defender"

The only time Barry's D-90 is off a road is when it's in a parking lot or parked in Specops garage.

Jeff

Are you new to the board? My truck doesn't go offroad unless you count the speedbumps at Vons off road.

You can mount them with quick release so they can be taken off when off road

I don't think your dog likes them, he looks scared of them.

Personally, I don't care for a side step but I built one for my wife that is easily removable. Nice and pink, too. If I could not quickly remove it, I would not have done it. Yours looks fine if you don't offroad your truck.

For those with sliders that has considered a step, here is the old link

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...side+step+wife

I like that it uses only one bolt (welded nut on back side so it is captive). Straddles the slider.

The question is do you have a hard time getting in and out of your truck? If so, you may need them.

I just wanted to throw in... that's the first time I've seen your 90 and that is one seriously clean and fantastic looking truck... You and Brian need to have a contest... museum curators both of you...

I swapped my NAS 110 steps for a set of four of those. I definitely love the look, and love those steps. I think the quick release is a good idea, and I'll get to that after I get my sliders installed.

A great added benefit of those steps is they are perfect height as cocktail end tables for folding chairs. I find myself pulling the chairs up next to the 110 all the time in the driveway.
