Since that has a ribbed roof, does that make ribbed roofs more valuable now?

Dude, it's like DOOM 4. Trapped in development hell.

Land Rover is pretty good at keeping wraps on their new designs. We didn't know much about the full size Range Rover released last year, or the Range Rover Sport that's coming out this year until they were good and ready for people to see them.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought they were going to close the Solihull plant, drop the Defender line and change it into EVOQUE production as sales are so high.
Last I heard they were not interested in investing more into Defender because they could not compete with Japanese trucks and the DC100 did not go over well.

I personally liked the DC100. Not as a Defender replacement, but as a stand alone cool looking sports truck.

Bronco concept

Just curious but does anyone know what happen to the Bronco Concept. Thought it was a pretty good update. I would buy one.

Until they go to have the windows tinted. Then it all goes to hell.

To be honest, I loved the Bronco concept. Still do. It sucked because it was based on the second gen Escape. Take that body, slap it on a frame, even an LR4 one, and it would be sweet. I like it better than the DC100.

Not too 'orrible for a concept car...a little more refinement and they may just be onto something

Solihull has too much going on with the Sport and full size Range Rovers to be shut down. There will be a new plant eventually built that will produce engines for the Rovers because of Ford's growing limitations. They didn't mention where it will be though.

------ Follow up post added May 12th, 2013 10:16 PM ------

Oh, I also heard that they completely tossed out the DC100 idea due to the amount of negative reviews it got...

Not my cup o tea but I do like the wheels. Kind of a modern version of the classic Jackman!

Jeez, there are huge construction projects going on at Solihull, I was just there last week. Doesn't look like a place being shut down.

I did not mean shut down. Mean change over to produce EVOQUE instead of Defender. That would require a temp shutdown of lines to retool. So I heard...
Who knows the truth?

With the new Wrangler slated for 2015 I would bet Rover brings whatever is the Defender replacement about the same time. IMO

I can't remember the exact numbers, but I think it's 12 million that Tata has already budgeted to build a plant to produce engines... Location unknown for now...
