those are seafoam green!

Hahaha Great... Somewhere on the web if you search "Land Rover Defender" and "D-bag" my picture is going to come up! Yes, I still wear those.

I literally just watched a video about 5.11's Tactical Kit then minutes later read JavelinaDave's post then I got scared I mistakenly posted something about the kilt and was busted.

Since this guy is building "vintage" Defenders replete with entertainment systems, I wonder if he could add a period-correct Laserdisc player to one for me. I would love to watch Smokey and the Bandit II, Amadeus, and Police Academy* while I'm cruising up the PCH to Malibu for lunch.

* Actual films that I owned on Laserdisc

Agree - funny stuff.

And I love how he has Smokey and the Bandit on laserdisc. My brothers and I watched them all the time BITD on HBO. Gleason/Bufford T Justice was a f'n riot to us adolescent boys of the 80's.

I could be wrong but trust-fund hipster with some connections (how else did he get some solid press but nothing here on d-90?) will be a short term project until the next "thing" comes along or when he figures he can't get those trucks into the states with the "modern" amenities.

He may or may not even know about this forum. If you Google search "import Defender 110 into US" this forum doesn't even show up on the first page of results. If you Google "importing defender 110" it is the 6th result

Hahahaha. I live in Colorado, which is pretty much 2/3's Cali folk. But the shoes these dudes are wearing these days look like something a grandmother would wear in the mid 80's. Anything listed under "Mens" on the Tom's website is a prime example.

Not to mention he probably already has some vehicles either in transit, done, or under construction in UK... Going to be some pissed investors/buyers in the near future. I call that tuition!
