Think they would ever build it?

How long, if ever, do you think it would take for Land Rover to build a 2 door range rover sport? Maybe with a 6 speed manual transmisison? They should learn a little from the X5...

M5 is an awesome car if you are going to the track on the weekends and don't live in a city or area with massive potholes. Can't tow anything with it. Doesn't fit as much as a 2 door Range would. Can't 4 wheel it. BLows in the snow. Current m5 is over 100 grand all said and done. Doesn't come in a 6 speed. (Sorry paddle shifting is not the same) DOesn't look nearly as good as the older model. And if we are talking all cars with that price tag I would get a GT3 hands down. but as far as SUVs and rovers go, it think a 2dr would sell...

Never. LR had no intention of building two door trucks other than the Defender and the Freelander.

I wonder what the demand for a manual 6 speed is?

I dont know what the demand is...but Quaife offers a 6 speed sequentially shifted race transmission for Land Rovers...you could always put one into your Defender.

"Race" transmission.. It's not the transmission that's slowing me down.. I think it's the hampster under my hood that would get tired in a "race" or going up any sort of incline. On a side note, does anyone know if that concept "Range Stormer" was actually a working model. I read somewhere that it was

I could be wrong, but I think that the Range Stormer Concept was an early prototype that eventually became the RR Sport. If it wasn't then I'm not quite sure where it would fit into the current LR lineup. But it sure was pretty.

Believe it or not, the Range Stormer (the orange concept car) was sold like 2 years ago here in California on British pacific's deal of the day. It went for 17000. It was not street legal and it was powered by a 4.0 v8. Don't know who bought it, last I heard, it was sitting in a warehouse in Irvine owned by LRNA.
