there was a knock @ the door....

and it was Gustavo's (Rugbier) smiling face. he was driving by and saw this Stornoway grey truck out front and wanted permission to drool on it.
Truck was an ebay (US) purchase from Limoge France- headed to Michigan. Apears to built from three different trucks on a galvanized chassis.

I need to stay off d-90.com............I'm getting a serious case of the "wants" every time I these kinds of pictures. Could be hazardous to the marriage.

I don't know why but I never could get crazy about Euro spec 90's or 110's. It's like I always feel like its getting something that will leave that more to be desired feeling...

LOL,

Those pictures surely do not make justice to this 110, it is drool worthy

To each his own. I import others purchases. The gentlemans previous ride was an H1. He's stepped up.
Those are aluminum disks with a diamond tread plate design. Apear to be held on with two sided tape.
I think all the tread plate on this truck would look right in black, not natural-but I don't like 5 bar other than on top of fenders. Peel those few items off and the truck is gorgeous.

I'm exactly the other side of the coin. I don't like the look of the exoskeleton NAS cages. The internal cages SD makes have improved funtionality over the NAS cages- ie seats go back and cage doesn't poke you in the shoulder, not visible from 10 ft away etc. Once you have driven a stock diesel that will do circles around a stock V8 its............

I prefer the exo-cage if you are going to wheel the truck. Mine has saved my body from a lot of tree damage.

I remember seeing that one on Ebay. Thought it was probably a bogus rebuild, but apparently not. As I remember it sold for a good price.

I'm not knocking them in anyway they are still great trucks regardless, I just sorta feel they were never really made for us and thus aren't aren't as appropriate for us as NAS trucks.

Why do I get the feeling Horsey was doing some disturbing things to himself while reading this post and searching his stalker files for the other grey defender...

Chris lives the town away from where I grew up, so I've been following his build closely.
