Why would you even consider using a picture of a vehicle other than the one you are selling for the advert? In the real world, that is called fraud.

Is it called fraud if you clearly state in one of the first sentences that the first picture is used as an example?

People do it all the time. I have seen trucks we have built for sale by all kinds of people, even though I know where that truck is (and that it isn't for sale).
The NAS 110 in this link, #157 was built by ECR and is not for sale. It is with a happy customer. The picture in the link was taken at Copley and the people who scammed the photo took away the Copley background, took away the ECR decals on the sliders and it gets used all over.
Some harmless and others use it to sell "their" Defenders.

Really can't understand why they can't take pictures of trucks you have built to show "examples". Makes your whole company look very fishy.

You would think with all the crap that's been going on as of late, those that are trying to do business would take extra care in being sure nothing is mis-represented, in order to be regarded as reputable. Obviously, some people just aren't that quick on the uptake.

Speaking of.....(I hesitate to mention it, in fear it may be like awakening the dead), but a certain someone that was constantly posting hourly with sideways pictures, regarding how wonderful everything they were doing has gone quiet. Wonder if they are in the middle of one of their 4,000 man hour builds?

I think it's looked fishy long before this came along.

Photoshopping your wife's face on a picture of my wife's body is not cool. Just say'n'!

Are these photos the same truck? They look nearly identical. But the picture at Copley is from a lower perspective as the front roof isn't showing or the whole roof rack and the winch line flag is different. It's like playing "Spot the Difference." I get your point though.

Same truck (NAS 110 #157 that we restored from the frame up).

Not the same picture.

My picture is from outside ECR right before the 110 went to Copley.

The one people grabbed was the one Copley took when the truck was at their place before it went to the customer out west. They had it out front of their place and now it is all over the place.

Come on, Mike - this place in Iceland says that it's now part of their rental fleet:

Our Fleet : Reykjavik Cars - Reykjavik Cheap Cars rental

Who am I supposed to believe, here?

Can't find those images of ours on Pinterest anywhere. Screen shot where you found it for me.

We built this vehicle over two years, we sold it yesterday and my client pointed out it was back on eBay. Turns out it was you guys with our photos. Not the kind of thing that should happen really I'm sure you would agree.

Tom

They have removed our images now from their eBay advert. Just don't buy the Pinterest story.

Not too bothered by these guys really, just don't like our customers seeing their vehicles for sale elsewhere, it makes everyone look shady when really only a few are.
