I do find it weird that they don't have any way to contact except by email. I got this from their rep in Texas https://www.dropbox.com/sh/w0yrfjgc0...pvOXOckda?dl=0
Still doesn't show much right, I was like ok. I am going to pull the plug on this one. Too many question marks! Thanks for the feedback everyone. Much appreciated. Also that little clip from the movie....I noticed that too.

Dan, the guy in post #21 is one of the very few individuals on this earth I would trust to buy a 25+ year old Defender from.

If you are going to spend 55k add another 15k and buy the one listed by ECR for 70k.

You will at least know what you are getting.

Aside from some poor branding choices I don't see what looks so horrible however I wouldn't give my money to an entity with no reputation.

I seem to remember Uncle Douglas mentioning them (in a positive light) in a a post about overseas companies not too long a go.

May be too late but ... I live in Houston and could try to have a look at it for you if you can find out where it's located.

I have been in contact with them since I began showing interest. I don't want to come off as saying they are a shady outfit without any knowledge. I merely posted up my original thread to find out if anyone had any knowledge of them, or had dealt with them directly. I can say the work looks great, but I have been around long enough to be skeptical. I bought a vehicle once, that looked fantastic but was riddled with rust that had been covered up and it really ticked me off. Once again, not saying that is the case here but I am extremely cautious now. I didn't want this thread to turn into a flame fest toward them without anyone actually having any real knowledge or interaction with them.
I am grateful for the input and thoughts, so thank you for your opinions.

I could see if they have a location where you could go check it out. That would be awesome. Not only for me, but for others that are curious about this business. I'll get back to you.

Hi Guys,

I thought we would just drop a small comment on the above questions. Excuse us for not introducing ourselves properly before…

We, from the Landrovers.com are Daniel van Oort and Peter Zeisser. Two very enthusiast young guys from Holland, who, like most of you guys fell in love with the adventurous, and beautiful character of the Defender.

We are well aware about dodgy companies selling ´restored´ vehicles on the US market, trying to make a quick fortune by ripping off people by selling them rust buckets, or companies who just have got a different definition of quality and restoring. So we do understand very well all the question marks around an unknown company from Amsterdam.

We sold over 20 cars in the US and all our buyers have positive things to say about us and our work. Even the God of importing Land Rovers, Doug Crowther, recommends us highly and doesn't have a complaint at all! Check out this thread:

In contrast to these dodgy companies, does our mission statement state: ´to fulfill dreams´. And we don´t do this by ripping off people. In fact, most of our previous customers became friends…

Of course we also learn and improve every day, and we keep striving for the best possible quality. And according to our customers we do deliver a beautiful product. And it did happened that we had a unhappy customer, whith different expectations. But even in this case, we managed to transform him to a happy one.

All our Defenders will be delivered with a clear US title. And we always encourage a pre purchase inspection. We've got nothing to hide, are 100% legit and would love to show you our beautiful work, on which we are very proud. Plus, what do you think will happen with our reputation and future sales if we sell a vehicle where we have just covered the rust or delivered a bad quality...

If you wish to speak with us, or one of our partners in Texas, Seattle or Philadelphia just let us know.

We would love to start building your dream, now or in the future..

Best,

Daniel and Peter

Any reason why you guys feel it is acceptable to use our vehicle to market your business.

I think this is rather misleading, we have had plenty of people use our images on eBay before but none as direct as this.

I would like to suggest you or one of your so called partners remove the advert quickly.

Tom

What? Someone being less than honest when selling a Defender from overseas to the Americas? I think I heard mention of that before somewhere....

Why do these clowns insist on not being honest?

I'm still wondering when the copyright police are going to come make them change their name.

Hi Tom, my apologies for using your vehicle as an example in our advertisement.
It is our dream to build a 130 with those specs.
We found it on pinterest and were not aware it was yours.
Picture has been removed. Again sorry!

Do you have this one for sale at the moment? And did your company build it?

Big respect!
