WTF??? What did he get? But I agree, I think he has that women drugged or he must be a stallion under the sheets.

Haha too funny. I'm just a lucky guy and she's a good woman.

Mark needs a public thank you, as he had already bought the truck but was kind enough to give it up when he heard my wife was trying to surprise me with it.

I got Bozmans '63 Series IIA. I have had my eyes on it since I learned it was a '63 because I have this crazy plan to restore a vehicle either my age or my wife's. Greg offered it to me a few months back, but for various reasons after discussing it with my wife it just wasn't looking like the timing was going to work so I told Greg to sell it. I was hoping it would not sell quickly and my situation would change (we have too many cars, nowhere to put them, have been looking to move but doesn't seem like we ever will, etc.).

I had all but given up on it and my wife went and got it and surprised me with it as a valentines day/ early birthday present!

Looks very nice. Feel free to come and loot at Ron's house of used rover parts although she does not look like she needs much.

Wow! Nice looking truck Charles. Heck of a present and a great story to go with it as well. Props to your wife for such a great job.

So is the Rover count now at 3.5? I figure that neat custom trailer is at least half a Rover, right?

Congratulations!

I couldn't forward the thread onto my wife fast enough. After she reads this post, we may actually see her first post

Was sworn to secrecy on this one but encouraged to F with Charles about the series deal going sideways by Donna. She doesn't understand our Rover addictions, she doesn't enjoy four wheeling, but likes to do things as a family and wants Charles to be happy. Plus she she tolerates me ! I think he said they have been married 19yrs (that exceeds the combined tenure of both my marriages). Hats off to a great couple.
Charles free storage for any of your toys down state in one of my barns.

I need to collect Neils old 110 tdi from Eldred, Ny and bring it down for a lhd conversion if you want to make a road trip of collecting both.

Yes 3.5 Half a rover, but twice the work.

Something's got to budge, but my feeling is it will be a couple of hondas. We'll see

I would recommend nicknaming this thread the 'envy' thread. Between the Series, Charles' wife for buying it for him, and Bozman's barn, I'm green with envy. Congrats. Mark

That barn pic is simply amazing. Looks so cool with the old Landy park out front. Please tell me you have a decked out work shop behind those doors. That is my ultimate dream - a sweet restored barn with a dialed shop up in northern VT. Maybe someday...
