Thatched Roof Garage -- gone?

Is TRG gone? Their email bounced back, and their phone has a 'disconnected' recording. Doesn't look good...

I wanted to get a La Salle headliner dropped to me this week....

I "heard" that D. Gage closed shop about a week ago. Maybe check DWEB as more people seem to live in his area.

Hey Doug-

If you get the La Salle headliner, let me know how you like it (better yet, post some pics). I'm struggling with buying it or recovering my old one.

Better yet, ECR's site makes reference to an OEM "new style" headliner that has two Disco2 style map lights in it. That sounds like the thing. Anybody know how to go about getting one of those? We all know how helpful ECR is...

I can try to track down that new style headliner- any mention of what year or trim level it comes on?

Cool. Here's the page that references the "new style": http://www.eastcoastrover.com/160.html Search for "interior light". There should be three pictures. They make reference to a 2005 110:

In front of the sunroof you can see the new style interior light that shines down on the driver and passenger. The 2 interior lights work together or individually for real flexibility. If you could have a 2005 110 here in the USA, it would have these lamps. The bad news is you can't have a 2005 110, but we can update your 1993 110 to have these updates like the new models do.

My 97 Wagon has both of those lights and I'm sure the headliner has not been replaced with any new age Land rover headliner. What gives?

I don't see any "new" interior light. Just the same ones on the later SW 90's.

The beauty of the LaSalle is the additional single Din space and speaker enclosures above your head. Plus the obligatory lights...

That sounds nice. Anybody got any pics? La Salle's website is broken.

Found one pic (attached). Looks like it's 217 Pounds with the radio/speaker openings (197 without).

Going to have a local upolstery shop repair mine, looks like. And soundproof behind it. La Salle still an option. Don't need the lights since I have an aftermarket mirror with lights, and a Hella maplight hard-mounted to my cubby...

Edit: Rovers North wanted close to $1500 for stock. Yikes.

I've imported headliners for 110's before- they take a lot of space and cost a LOAD to ship, but if we're doing a container it's not so bad.
I thought Badger made the headliner on the ECR truck linked above- but I could be wrong.

We didn't do the headliner in that 110, but have recovered Range Rover and Discovery headliners at our shop. Have your headliner board recovered if it is in good condition. The cost of these items new is expensive just like steve mentioned.

On the D110 I rebuilt, I had the headliner recovered locally for $500ish for all 4 pieces. It looked great and was much nicer than OEM.

Vinyl or cloth? That's the route I'm leaning after seeing better pictures of the LaSalle. Probably be cheaper too.

It was done by an upholstery shop using a special headliner material. Kind of a lightweight cloth with a foam backing. Very lightweight.

You can get nice dome lamps from RV shops- I just got some aircraft style ones that are kinda cool really cheap. When you recover the board, they can put the lamps anywhere you want. I'd be happy to order replacement lamps if you want oem ones.
