I leave from wash dc towards Winthrop Maine - at 5am tomorrow. 600 miles in rain driving north into freezing temperatures. Who says I do not know how to have fun?

I am near Allentown at the moment - in a waffle house making a breakfast stop.

I am traveling with the wife, daughter, and two dogs. The Stage One was left in the driveway and I am covering the miles in the comfort of the Honda.

It has been raining fairly constant - but I just put new wiper blades on before I left and traffics has been ok so far.

X2! You will be central to alot of great events and alot of great people! I do pull for USF, UCF and FIU when they step up and play the bigger programs and it's fun when they will. Don't know if the UF FSU game will be any sport but if there is an upset it could be Auburn over the Evil Empire. My Mom is a "Bama fan by birth and I think Nick Saban is a spawn of the Devil. Should be fun.

Staying local this year although I kinda wish we were heading up to Stowe like in years past. At the very least I'll need to go thru the kids' and my gear and see what is needed.

Possible hike and/or quick rip on the bike thru the local woods tomorrow. Depending on if the trails are too wet with all the rain.

I have some Nellie Steven's getting delivered Friday and want to get them in the ground. And maybe some leaf/yard cleaning along with it. The rain should make for some easier digging.

Hoping the local outdoor ice rink has ice for some outside hockey to finish the weekend off on Sunday night (my savior for NJ winters).

Will try and sneak some time in the garage putting the pieces to the chassis together. Want to get my axles on and done before Xmas.

Overall going to try and stay busy so I don't feel so guilty eating a bunch tomorrow night :D

Choke a buzzard...lol. Both sides of ours were " we can come to you to you" Nope, no thanks. I can make it through my holiday with out my mother commenting on my alcohol intake and Chris's mother telling me I don't seek out enough therapy and help for Christian, because 30+ hours a week is apparently not enough to her for the twice yearly times she sees him.

Staying local this year...cleaning the garage in the morning, then bring on the home cooked goodies. Friday back to work on an outbound flight to Iowa (yeah that part sucks) then to Minnesota....(that sucks more). Happy Thanksgiving to you all and be SAFE!

It's our first Thanksgiving in our new home. Having my sister-in-law and niece up from Reno, and my brother is coming down from Seattle. We just PCS'ed from Colorado so a lot of our household goods are still in boxes but we've got the kitchen stuff unpacked so it's time to start cooking.

Tonight, I'm making pumpkin pie with a crème brûlée topping from a sugar pie pumpkin I picked up at the market. My wife is making the mashed potatoes (some kind of parmesan/rosemary kind this year). I had to kick things off right so I am drinking some Hussong's reposado.

The Rovers are staying in the driveway this holiday. I'm trying to build up some "time equity" with my wife before the motor swap starts in a couple of weeks.

Happy Thanksgivakkah!

Oh man, you're killing me. Adam Carolla used to do this bit about cranberry sauce and how he could never understand why people would serve the canned stuff at nice dinners when the real deal is so easy to make and then he'd read his recipe over the air. That's what I'm making this year: Adam Carolla cranberry sauce

Happy Hanukkah, Dave! (and Barry too, if he's still out there)

I'm very thankful for Rover parts being delivered to my parents' house for Thanksgiving on time. I'm assuming everyone does this?

Was kidding on the corona- used to rent the same house there @ Whalehead for years. There used to be a guy who lived there year round and every evening @ sunset would get up on top of the dune in front of his house and play amazing grace and other songs on his bag pipes. Very cool and one of the few sounds that carries well in a sea breeze.
