Thanks, Ralph...

My dad passed away last week. I have been working on cleaning up the house and his estate. This has been keeping me busy.
Without his extensive curiosity, and willingness to try anything, I probably wouldn't be the artist/wrench I am today. I learned car craft from him, going thru the Volvo, VW, BMW, Willys and finally the Land Rover phases. He was more of a maintenance guy than a fix up weird cars guy, but the ethic was passed nonetheless.
He lived until almost 99, missing the century mark by a mere 15 months. Better luck next time, Dad, wherever you are!

Condolences Bill. I hope he celebrated all 99 years. When I die I want my body and soul to be completely used, abused, beaten, and battered, with nothing left to salvage.

WOW Bill....99 - sounds like he had a great life - and is probably proud his son has taken it to the next level with Land Rovers.

With that as a benchmark you have many many years of enjoyment once you get the 109 on the road

I'm sorry Bill. It's not an easy time but it sounds like you have many good memories to carry you on and you will have the support of folks in this community.

I'm dealing with the same thing myself. My dad sparked my interest in cars with his MG TC and always supported me with my forays into the worlds of Jags and Rovers and he remains constantly in my thoughts...

Sorry for your loss, my father passed at 84 this past February. My father was an aerospace engineer and I constantly see his problem solving abilities in my 11 yo daughter. She carries duct tape and zip ties in her school bag incase somthing needs fixin'. Dad lives on.
