Bears (people negative on the market) are driving down apple's stock price. Once they are done, Telsa is next.

Telsa's stock is up another 100% since May 13 -- even after the 10% drop from the Model S fire that went viral three days ago. So much for fire containment within each of their 16 battery compartments. While it is outrageously overpriced considering it is trading at a 20x premium of BMW and the stiff competition about to rollout in 14-15', I remain a fan of their technology and product.

Albert Lea is the halfway point between Minneapolis/St. Paul and Des Moines. I used to make that trip for work occasionally and that route is heavily driven.

I was connecting through MUC and checked out the i8. One sweet looking car, but only 13 to 25 miles off the benzin? >$135k? Is this the best Munich can do? So much for the German firms hitting back with their own rival 14-15' models. Thinking Tesla continues to hold a superior technological advantage and will convert more BMW, MB and Audi drivers.

A few months ago, I saw one racing against a white Mercedes SLS on 66 (eastbound). Absolutely wicked.

looks like my DD

Not many here in Tulsa, which is obviously why I get the question a lot," Is that a Tesla S?"

There is a striking similarity...(stock photo), between the Supercharged XF Jag and the Tesla, especially from the rear-end..

Never been in one but I do understand it's weird feeling with no "shift"....

Any body know what the 3 year lease residual is? I have found that number to be rather telling...

As a side note, ordered my oil cooler lines from Eric at Trailhead...everybody can quit panicking now..

That's easy to understand as the Tesla Model S, with a 0-60 in less than 4 seconds, out-accelerates all but the highest end Ferraris.

Check your local hospital parking lot. Over here at Suburban in Bethesda there's always two or three.

Musk needs other manufactures to use his battery technology to build the EV market to warrant the rollout of supercharging stations. This is a good hedge to the hydrogen fuel cell vehicles that are still 3 years out. Decade old prototype FCVs have 2x the range of today's best EVs and can full up in a few minutes. Nissan, Ford, and MB are collaborating on a common FC platform. This should keep Musk up at night, especially if he does not have network of supercharging stations in place prior to a network of hydrogen fill stations should FCVs take off.

I sure hope they don't take off. FCVs are not the answer. Give us diesel till electric matures.

Musk doesn't lose sleep ... He's looking to change the world not make more money.

FC's have been about to arrive for more than 20 years ... I'm not holding my breath. All this crap is too complicated ... I dream of a 4 cylinder diesel!
