We had a few family members over for dinner and were watching 60 Minutes afterwards. There was a scene where Ted was driving and all you could really see was the steering wheel. Three of us said "that's a Rover." Pretty scary.

I am told he has several. NAS and ROW. The shot that was the best was from a vehicle running along side him as he drove the NAS 110!

And this, ... a man that could drive anything he wants ... and he chooses a Land Rover NAS 110!!

Personally, ... I think he has great taste!

Ahh, such a life. What I wouldn't give to move up to MT and fish and drive Land Rovers all day....

All I know about his personal life is that I gathered from the interview that Jane Fonda still is in love with him, but can't live with him. (she even teared up a little about it).
I suppose he is hard to live with, ... all that brain spinning going on about what big venture to cook up next.

Looked like his trout fishing skills are honed now. He says at 71 he is learning to slow down a little now.

I like Ted Turner, I have liked him ever since he got drunk after winning the America's Cup and giving that inebriated press conference.

Lots of great stories from the bar owner in Ennis, Montana about Jane. She was not allowed into the bar one time and screamed "I will buy this place and burn it down!" Good taste in the 110 but that's about it. I know people who have hunted and fished on his ranch and they say if you throw a handful of pebbles into the river on the ranch, the trophy fish swarm like piranha!

How does the same guy like to see America win AND marry Jane Fonda? I'm guessing he watched Barbarella drunk. Don't do that...nothing good can come from it. When I think of Barbarella now, I imagine her in black pajamas dropping a mortar round down a tube.

Yes, it's true...everyone in the US military still hates her, and we pass it on to the next generation of recruits.

Sounds like he is a man of many contradictions. you got to think that a guy that owns 2 million acres and preserves it so you can hunt and fish and drives a 110 cant be all bad. I love the fact that he was talking to Martha Stewart today about how "green" the ranch is and produces its own electricity etc but he drives a truck that gets 12mpg.

thats no different than regular green tree huger that drives a prius becase its good for the environment, i quote "Building a Toyota Prius causes more environmental damage than a Hummer that is on the road for three times longer than a Prius."

In one of the 60 Minutes interviews last year, he said they were low power Land Rovers that he drove on his ranches.
