TD5 vent handles in a NAS D-90?

Hey, just found out that the TD5's apparently have a different style dash vent handle, that has threaded knobs on the end. Seems like it must be a much better piece than the plastic snap-off's that we've suffered with.

Anybody know if these are something that can be retrofitted into our trucks?

here is the tread Matt. I am in the process of getting a kit together to sell to update and replace your dash with the 2002 dash if anyone would be interested...

I also noticed that somebody is offering a similar center panel for use with Defenders and Series trucks, which honestly I kinda like better than the TDI center panel. The company is called Iron Goat, and their website is ig4x4.com

It's quite tempting, runs about $250 on E-bay right now.

Looks like the new center dash assembly? Or is it the entire upper and lower dash units as well?

The piece from Iron Goat is just the center assembly, made to fit the existing upper and lower dash. I like the layout on the Iron goat piece a lot better than the factory piece I think, especially since it has 2 gauge ports on it. And I'm finding out, I need more switches.

I have seen the Iron goat one up close and did not like how you can not use the plastic surround to cover up the back of the dash. It looked unfinished to me..

Is anyone interested in the 2002 and newer Dash conversion? If so, send me a PM...
