Tales of the PO: What random items have you found in your truck?

I was digging through the dash and found an old business card with my own last name on it. Coincidence or fate?

What else have you found left behind in your truck?

I found a spec sheet/build ticket inside the rear door when I removed the panel. It was folded up, so I read it and put it back in there. Kinda cool to me.

Land Rover Candy. My center console was stuffed full of it. Dealer I got it from used it in a parade or something I was told.

A few quid of loose change in the dash, mostly mid-50s and 60s vintage.

Andover isn't too far from me... maybe 40 miles?

In the old rovers i've had, I usually find farmers stuff (as the last few I've had have been ex farm hacks) so new hyperdermic (sp?) syringes, those rubber rings for castrating sheep, shotgun shells, washers, straw, more straw, more rubber rings, and about 2pence (UK farmers are tight!)

In my '50 Willys when I recovered the seats I found a time capsule with a newspaper from 1988 in it. That paper had a name and address on it, so I looked the people up and found them. They were shocked someone found it and sent me a bunch of pics of my Jeep told me the history of it.

PO of the Lewb was a compulsive gum chewer. Instead of wrapping it in the wrapper or tossing it out the window they would "park" it. Maybe to work on at a later time? Dunno. Dead wads of gum stuffed everywhere. Some petrified, some relatively soft. The filled the ash tray, stuck it under the seat.

Getting it out of the mohair was a beeyotch.

When we were restoring my father's Bentley we found some interesting stuff, the most interesteing find dated from when it went back to the coach builder in mid-1939 to have some retrim work done. One of the people working on it wrote on a wood backing panel for the rear parcel shelf "Stuff Hitler". We polyeurethaned it to preserve it and put it back where it had lived since '39.

The defender I just found 6p and a deflated rugby ball.

I had to dig it out to scan it in, but the word was my truck was a UN mine sweeping support vehicle back in the day. This list presumably of people who served in the particular unit was found stuffed in the dashboard:
