Take a look at this Defender!!!

I ran into this truck out at the Hammers. The fit and finish is exceptional. Thought you guys would want to see it!

buck , did you get some specs? 60 rear, 60 fr. wheelbase? Is it part 88 part90. I really like the cage design. how far is the rear axle moved back? could you see any frame mod in rear? You can still see the fr frame outrigger. JP PS what is your wheelbase?

That's cool, it reminds me of the one SG built that is similar.

It sure looks like the one that those guys flopped in Montrose .... same guys, same color, same axles, same tires ...

Fast work, the whole right side was crinkly looking aluminum-foil the last time I saw it.

That truck never flipped. In fact I think that was it's first outing. Eddie @ West Coast Rovers built it. The engine is 4.6 for now. I believe the axles are 60's front and rear. Custom 4 link rear suspension, not sure of the front, with 5" Rovertym springs.

If I remember it is about a 102" wheelbase. It started life as a 95 D-90 and is registered as such and is street legal, passed CA inspection. The only series part is the front grill. I believe 40" tires.

The yellow one in Montrose was Frank from Cerrones, while it's very modified (lockers, 37s), it's not as chopped as the one above.

I'm wondering if the one above started as a D90 or a Series w/ a coiler frame on it..

I just said in the above post it started as a 95 d-90. The only thing series is the grill.

Dave, did you forget to put your truck in diff lock or did you want to climb that fall in front wheel drive on the first attempt?

The linkage on my t-case is screwed up. I was locked but it kept giving out either entirely or just the rear drive. Worst part is, before the camera was running I had that fall beat and my case popped out right at the top and I slid all the way back down!!! I havn't fixed the linkage yet either.

Off topic, but is late Feb a reasonable time to run these trails...too cold, snow? I was TENATIVELY thinking about POSSIBLY driving out to hit Johnson Valley prior to the Chili Challenge.

Anytime in the winter is rad. The season starts for me in September and I try to get out as much as possible untill may. After that it starts to get really hot out there. The trails are better early, before people stack the crap out of them. Sledge is already stacked like crazy.

Edit: BTW, I have never seen a vehicle on less that 110 make backdoor. With your driving style and Krawlers I think you have an outside shot. I would like to see it.
