It truely is the least practical configuration- especially if you put the spare in the bed.

The double cab 110 is very rare over here. It may not technically be one of a kind, but its dang close to "close enough" for as few of those that are in the US.
Why beat on the guy?... its a great looking truck most of us here would love to have, just enjoy it.

I know you could make the 990 fit w/ some creativity, but isn't that what the 130s are for?
Mike- do you have thicker, say 5mm or >, 5-bar sheets for sale? Thinking of a cover for a p/u bed...

Drool...

I would love a double cab but think my next one will have to be a hi-cap so I can put the ATV and dirt bike in the back

I'll email you the source for 5 bar on Monday. It is down closer to you, so no need to pay all that shipping.

I am illegal, good to know. Does this mean I don't have to pay taxes anymore? That would be killer.

If you want to look at or drive one, you're welcome to check my HCPU out. Ol' Blue is coming along nicely for a 25yo truck. Love the 200Tdi. I'm not too far South of you.

Installing a 2.8 sounds like a great idea to me.

As for import, I do not want to start a debate about how engines get into the country and what is legal an what is not. My advice would be to take a look at the EPA declaration form you have to fill out when you import an engine and figure out how you are going to fill out the form.

Our last shipment of 4x 300 Tdis got sent back to the UK as the entry of non-EPA compliant engines was denied.

Your mileage may vary.

Didn't know that! You're welcome anytime. You'll have to come to a Happy Hour sometime now that you're down South.

I think the point is, you have a DC configuration as an available choice. You can make the call whether or not it's right for your needs.

Here, the choice is made for us, regardless of our feelings on the subject!

Slightly off topic, but along the same lines regarding choice: Is the new 2008/2009 Dodge Challenger available in the UK?
