Yeah- saw the snorkle. Guessing since its on the right and looks to be correct for a 300 tdi that there was an oportunity to back this out if it was running when it went in. Looks like it may have been a parking lot run away since it went in head first (altough the European's tend to take the easy way out with trailers and mount front trailer hitches for moving trailers in tight quarters).

I'm not a big believer in the integrity of the "dump valves" in our air filter housings. My last engine had that hole welded closed for an airtight intake up to the snorkle.

the pic reminds me of swimming rover videos i was watching on youtube the other day. this one is quite funny . takes a while to get going but worth watching till the end. the guy with the stick looks like he is rover fishing.

OK, Forget the half submerged 110, ... what kind of overhead light guard is that he has that mounts to the drip rails?
Never seen one before, but I like that. Would certainly protect the 4000's from getting whacked off as a limb travels up the limb risers!

Anyone?
