Strombergs

A pair of these on the Triumph TR6. Car runs good and Ive done all I know to do to it. Ive not monkied with the carbs that much, ive cleaned the linkages up best I can. When the car gets warm I cant get the idle to come down unless I pull the choke out and stall it down. The carbs are full of oil and they dont leak fuel. I think they were rebuilt a few years back. It sits 80% of the time, Ive drained the fuel and filled it up with Vpower and techron to clean things up...

Probably a vaccum leak around the throttle shaft (or elsewhere). Spray some cleaner around the carb in precise areas while it is running. If you hear a change in idle speed then you have found your leak.

(Or I am talking out my arse.... I took the side draft carbs off my V8 and put on an Edelbrock!)
