Talking Strange things growing in my wife's garden...

Went out this morning to take some pictures in my wife's garden. At this time of year in Texas it's too hot for anything to grow except pumpkins and sunflowers. I decided to get a few closeups of the sunflowers in the morning light.

Here's a shot of the Garden of Weedin'.

Here's a closeup of one of sunflowers.

Here's another closeup of the back of a sunflower

Wait! What's that growing in the back of the garden?

Oh. Poor thing. Looks like it rotted on the vine.

Damn Texas summers. Must not have watered it enough. It was almost big enough to pick.

Now to figure out which plant that grew from so I can try growing a better one next year.

Oh, and Chris, the dog thanks you for his new dog house. He's set up camp under it.

hahaha.. you know.. I had a feeling when I started reading this post, that it was heading that way.

I better come over and start weeding that nasty thing soon but I have to decide which direction I want to go with it. I want to talk to the gang from the dealership after tomorrows meeting to see just how much work I would be looking at to restore it. Might be a good D-90 Source/Austin Club project.

For those wondering whats going on... With the insurance dance coming to a close, I needed a place to move and store the 90. Tony came through with the super major hook up of letting me stash the D90 in a part of his yard until I can start pulling it apart or rebuild it or whatever.

A huge "thank you" to Tony for the awesome karma to the new guy in town!

Didn't even notice you had those. I assumed that bit got melty in the fire. I thought I remembered a mirror being there but now I dunno. I'll look tonite to make sure that they really are still there. Kinda suck if someone snagged it while it was sitting down at the dealer.

I will, thanks Ron. Your seatbelts made it through OK. Fire never went near them. What I am still amazed at is that the Badger top and corbaeu seats are fine too.

The buyback was priced extremely attractive. You would be proud of the deal.

I'm watching you too buddy. Besides Mike, this one doesnt run anymore, not like you can work your magic on it and break it worse.

Actually I guess you could, the diffs and driveshafts are still good.
