South Raleigh really is a tough neighborhood these days..... And Cary....wouldn't go there after dark.

That is just weird. If I had some guy get out of the car in Durham with a ski mask, you can be sure I wont stick around to find out.

Dammit, I'm only ever in New Bern or Nags Head proper.

First, that's a weird situation, and I'm really glad it didn't go sideways on you.

I travel to some pretty hard places for work (I go where they have animal processing plants, which are rarely in nice neighborhoods), including parts of NC. If I'm driving instead of flying, I'm carrying. To my understanding NC is an open carry state (but I am no lawyer so YMMV) - until you get your CC you could choose to open carry.

Yes NC Is open carry... Problem is storage, I was on my way to work after dropping the girls at school..
I work in an office so oc/cc there is not option..

Strange morning for sure..

Feel like I'm in URE Brian when the car on the road opened fire across from us (away from us but still) and took off and my daughter was with us.

Which is why I carry in the field, it's pretty common to see OC in the URE area.

This is just too bizarre. Have you thought of traveling with a ski mask yourself, in case of any other encounters?

Sorry!!!! That was me. I was trying to get a closer look at the badge number. Damn rental cars and the their finicky break. I meant to say hi and introduce myself but I got nervous so I put a mask on to hide my embarrassment.

I think he already has enough issues, and doesn't need to go by "hi my name is Rob, or as the ladies like to call me...'hey you in the bushes' " .

Don't get a ski mask. Up you're game and wear a gas mask.

Happy none of you witnessed the clown incident at OT8 last year if some random dude who is respectful enough to apologise for a light grazing of your vehicle worries you!
