Also how most every restoration shop does for the most part, the only crime I see in this thread is perhaps libel by the OP depending on the result of the lawsuit.

Maybe the OP is someone we all know that lost a significant amount of cash in dealing with this seller and who wanted to help the rest of the community with a word of caution while remaining anonymous. An anonymous tip isn't any less credible because it is anonymous. It's just more annoying

When I take a part off a customer truck I ask them if they want it. Only after being told no is it mine to dispose of or hoard.

And your point? He builds a lot of trucks prior to selling, or it could be stuff the customers didn't want. The point is, it's all speculation and who cares? We all sell used Rover parts. We should only care if the stuff is "stolen," and that, we don't know. ------ Follow up post added October 11th, 2014 07:54 AM ------

I've been on eBay since 1999 and have changed my user name 4 times. He's been on since 2000. It appears some of the name changes follow business name changes, and others appear an attempt to change a dumb decision to use his real name in the user name.

A lot of people like to throw a certain someone under the bus when they don't even know all the details.

I don't know what Aaron is up to, nor do I really care- obviously the government is aware of his eBay account let them sort it out.

After seeing the blatent thievery going on at several local LR shops, I decided a few years ago that old parts always go back to the client. Back in the day, I mean way back, when you only trusted a mechanic with a job that you couldn't do yourself, this is how it was always done. It was an unspoken way of operating that built trust between you and your customer.

No speculation, the owner of the trucks presented for work has filed suit. The person who owned the trucks tried to press charges but has had to file a civil suit because there was a business "relationship" and as such there is no way to determine if there was anything criminal. I was sent 7 or 8 emails on the subject, but only heard one side. There is no speculation as to the source of the take offs as he has pictures of the trucks he bought and delivered. This shop has been closed since early summer and the owner of all these bits tried to pick them up @ that time but they had already been removed.

And that's the first time someone has posted about the true nature of what has transpired vice vaguely alluding to it.

Surprised the disposition of takeoffs is not stipulated in the contract.

I'm sure the proceeds are going to compensate those who have had to outlay money to make the illegal actions whole..
