Stolen Defender 90

Hi All,

Just had a call from a Lady in Downtown Orlando who has had her 1997 D90 convertible stolen overnight and is frantically trying to track it down. She said it is a custom blue color.

I will post some pics when she sends them to me.

Any help greatly appreciated by the owner!

Thanks!

Tom

Based on the "custom blue" description and being a '97 ST, I did a quick Google search and pulled this ad for a dealer in Winter Garden, FL. I'm guessing this is the 90 (see link to ad on YouTube below). It's the one that's been advertised before that kind of looks like someone tried to mimic an old Ford Bronco. Best of luck to her in recovering it!

Ha. Exactly the same one I was thinking it was. It's been for sale since like 2010 and has been making the dealer circuit from as far away as IL if I recall. Should be easy to track down.

Shouldn't be hard to spot...on the upside I now have some serious upgrade ideas for my D90 which will add significant value when I flip it!

Someone did her a favor. Collect insurance and buy an unmolested D90

Hoping the CBP took it. Lacking an original color, instruments to manufacturers approval as well as violations of Land Rover Rules against pimping (LORAP)

That truck fits Orlando perfectly. I think it's ugly as sin but hopefully it can be returned to its rightful owner

Let's just hope it was this metallic-pea(aqua) colored Defender, and not a Hella-edition Arizona Blue NAS 90 or something.

Mr. Griswold, you didn't order the, uh, metallic aqua Defender? I could have sworn you ordered the metallic aqua.

Stolen Defender 90

Hi all, thank you for looking out for the Defender. It's a 1997 Defender 90, Arles blue, soft graphite Badger top. I've attached a photo of a similar truck for reference. Thank you for any and all of your help!

Hey Monica/Brakston, much better with this picture. As you can see everyone it is a lovely looking truck (like this), not like that thing earlier on in the thread.

Have you had any luck yet with anything locally?

Was it converted from a hard top to a soft top, or was it repainted Arles Blue from a 1997 in a different color? Arles Blue soft top was only available in 1994, and I think I've only ever seen one other that was 1997 and Arles Blue soft top, which was converted over from a hard top. Do you have any photos of your actual truck? Do you remember what the badge number is/was on the back passenger side? How long have you had it? And where was it stolen from?

Must have stolen it on a rollback. Otherwise you can track its oil droppings.
