We haven't had any luck, we're trying to just get the word out. Sadly we don't have any pictures that show the actual truck. Most are with kids or only show parts of the truck. We'll
Keep searching for one. In the meantime, I wanted to make sure that there was something to go off of for reference. Thank you again!

Better to have something of an original picture than nothing. If the kids are in it, then cover the faces using photoshop. Whats the badge number? vin? Help us help you.

Stolen Defender

We've had the Defender since 1998, it was converted to a soft top and we don't have the badge number. It was stolen in Orlando, FL. I'm attaching a photo to show you what we're working with. Promise, we're trying to find a photo of the truck, but it's been a minute since we've taken pictures of it. We're appreciative of any suggestions etc and will have a photo once we find one.

Yup, I asked the badge number too.

Plus telling us how/where it was stolen, will also help us to plan better for our own vehicles.

Hopefully your state isn't one of those ones that automatically totals vehicles that have been stolen, even if/when they're retrieved.

Do you have any photos of your actual truck? Do you remember what the badge number is/was on the back passenger side? How long have you had it? And where was it stolen from?

You should put the photos on Jalopnik or send it in to them. They have been successful finding stolen cars before. More people with eyes out for it the better.

OK so it looks like it has a galvanized Badger Coachworks gutter kit, instead of the powdercoated one. It has soft top door tops that have been painted Arles Blue to match the door bottoms (correct me/us if I'm wrong), and white-ish or faded sun visors?

Stolen Defender

Yes, you're right. Badger coach works gutter kit-galvanized not powder coated, faded visors, and door tops painted to match door bottoms.

With Polk Audio marine speakers.

It is probably safe to assume there is only one with this combo in the world. All the better to track it down. Hope you get your truck back.

Is that front bumper still on it? That could be quite helpful.

Man, I was way off! Not the 90 I was thinking of at all.

Do you have the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)? It should be printed on your Defender's title. Knowing the VIN would be helpful for those on the lookout, and we should also be able to cross reference it with LRFAQ to pull the badge #.

It definitely sounds like a unique truck. Someone tried to steal my '97 ST back in the day, when I lived in Savannah. Fortunately, they couldn't figure out how to get the auto shifter into neutral and eventually abandoned their plan. I saw the evidence of their attempted theft the next morning and consequently, had an alarm system installed the very next day.

Sorry that you're having to go through this, especially during the holidays. And, I wish you the best of luck in tracking your 90 down!

The doors and bumper will stand out, not to mention its Arles Blue. Where was it stolen from? I hope you can find it, hopefully it wasnt taken on a joy ride and dumped in the woods. Post on some of the other Rover forums, expedition portal and the facebook

I saw a truck just like this a few times over in Thornton Park over the past 6 months or so. If someone brings it in to the shop or sees it, I'll be sure to let you know.

Hopefully it does not end up in a container going to the islands.

Let's not give away the exact location where this truck is usually parked. Plus if you've seen this truck before then it should have shown up in the sightings thread.
