Stolen 97 d90

Keep your eyes out for a 1997 white Defender 90, vin# SALDV2240VA116582. It was stolen on 1/30/2010, occured in Colton, CA. Hardtop with diamond plate, don't have plate #, since it was our customers vehicle.

Wow that sucks. Is it an ST or SW? Any idea what the plaque or plate number is?

The plaque should be #1635 according to the registry.

I found this for sale ad for it as well: http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/lan...-cars330235620

Doesn't show a posting date on it, so I don't know if that ad was before or after it was stolen ...

Good find Ryan. Wonder if it was stolen off the lot. What are you going to do with a stolen d90 except strip it for parts and it seems that would only be done by somebody really familiar with these trucks.

Agreed. Odd thing to steal in the states. Except for a joy ride.

Stolen 90's

I will keep my eye out.

One question though why would anyone steal a defender 90 in the US. They don't blend in and shipping it out of the states seems stupid since there are so many of these things in other countries. Also how many people in the US would be interested in parts.....It's not a Honda Accord..

I'm sure I'm missing something.

This, that country is so fucked up I wouldn't be surprised if some drug lord drives it around his coke plantation.

Well, it was stolen in Colton, the garden spot of the Inland Empire.
My bet is the homeboys that lifted it never leave the Colton/Rialto/Upland area...

Maybe we'll see it on the next episode of COPS...

I don't know why, but I laughed for about a minute after reading this post. Thanks for that.

I suppose that it won't work in my rig, if I install my vicious attack corgi.

I have a 120 pound alarm that doesn't like people looking at her funny (at all really). She's been known to rock the whole truck barking at people, kind of funny watching them jump back when she gets going.

Steve glad you got a chuckle that was certainly the goal. And Alexandra my little girl is 135 and she is the same way about people getting too close to the truck. Ive literally heard people scream from inside the coffee shop that didnt realize she was in the truck and got too close.

My anti theft equipment tucks away nicely under the tonneau cover. He is 40lbs and fearless... when he is awake and not snoring.

Sorry to hear about your truck getting stolen. I imagine it will show up soon. Its hard not to spot it and its slow.
