you guys are going to laugh at me but i've been planning to do something similar, but not on the floor, on the panel that goes between front seats and cargo area, and not with teak but with ipe. Call me a snob but i need some wood in my truck, some real wood, not skinny highly grained and figured pieces of molding, real wood. I already changed my shift lever knob and made one out of guayacan (lignum vitae), looks great and feels... divine.
