Stainless speaker mount

A customer had these made up for his D90 ST, and I was very impressed by the fit and finish. I had to enlarge the opening to fit the Sony speaker, but otherwise they fit well.

Is there a need for these as an option to the plastic Genuine pieces?

That is exactly what mine looks like. Color and all. I wish the 95, 97 rear speaker housings were readily available. they covered the seat belt mount. cleaner look

The 95 style would not fit because of the bar on the early 94s that goes along the inside of the tub.

Trevor, any idea what they would cost? I need a solution for the 110.

We make the same basic thing, but out of alloy and then usually paint them to match the truck. These are some that went in a 110 a few months ago.
They are really easy to make, any small fabrication shop can handle it with ease.

Shoot, call/email Len at American Dirt Roads - he sells a set for $150. They are a little bigger than stock. Len, I expect a discount for the free advertising!

I wonder what he'd want to recreate the '95-'97 boxes that cover the seat belt real...

don't the metal housings buzz like crazy? I took my plastic housings out as i couldn't handle the rattle and put in storage boxes with speaker mounts. Mocked up internal guards out of cardboard covered with ducktape as the metal on metal buzz was terrible, and id say it was the best decision i have made with this truck yet next to having 2 badger tops

Do you have pictures of them installed on a ST? I like the sound of that!

So what about cheaper options. $140 for 2 speaker housing is more about what I paid for the speakers - marine Alpines. Also, how are you attaching these mounts on the top side? Same as the slip in per the plastic original mounts?
I took out the plastic holders (buzzed) and now have them in 1/2 inch plywood but they look like crap.

Not attached at the top, but Dynamat on the speaker mount and the body right behind the speaker.
