I don't think Chance has a rack.
Maybe Bill (kolvedic)?
There used to be a white one in Perry Park but I haven't seen it in years.
Where's highway 89, and what color is your SW?

I think Chance has a 110
Highway 89 is the extension of Santa Fe south
My '90 is C-green.

Cheers

I see that one every month or so, it is usually going the opposite way I am, I see him going from springs to denver at 10:ish on I-25.

It is very clean looking.

Howdy fellas- it's me. Dang, I'd better watch my driving. Yep, I finally got my hands on the rig I was after but of course I found it in Florida. It's a 1995 ST Alpine White with 30K miles and a Tdi w/ Phase 3 installed by Mike Hopwood. I found a factory rack on this forum last month and just put a new Badger 2 soft top on it tonight. I've still got a few more customizations but want to keep it looking OEM for the most part (and stay married).

If you ever head out on the trails let me know. It seems most rover owners enjoy the same things: skiing, camping, riding dirt bikes and odd things too like foosball, pinball and tinkering so perhaps i'll see you on the trail.

Follow-up Post:

P.S. It's Highway 85

I pulled behind you once on 85 and I was in my lifted Disco with snorkel, you took off and left a big cloud of smoke then I knew you had a TDI. I see you a lot but I'm normaly driving my TT or a county vehicle. Nice looking D.

Yeah, i was worried about passing the emmisions testing so I had Colorado Diesel look at the 'smoke' problem but they said it really wasn't a problem that's just how they run. I replaced the fuel filter, air filter, etc. anyhow and passed the test.

Once you own a D90 you tend to notice more LR's out there. I recall seeing a Disco behind me.

I spend most of my time in big, dually work trucks out on pipelines (i'm a corrosion / structural engineer) so I drive the Rover anytime i can.

Matt,

Nice Truck

I was driving my Defender, when I spotted you. I usually donít drive it on the weekdays, but I was coming back from jury duty. I dodged the bullet and only had to stay for 2 hours. must be my squeaky clean past!

Anyway check out the Solihull Society http://www.solihullsociety.org/ Yousef is the Secretary for the club. Peter Hope (aloha rover) is the Trail Coordinator for the í07 National Rally in Montrose. I help where I can, and my work schedule allows, Trail Leader mostly.

The Colorado D-90 group should get together for beers one of these nights.

Cheers

Mike

Yes, my two favorite kind of beers are 'cold' and 'free'. I'll be in touch.

Sign me up!

Hey Matt, how you liking the B2? I just got mine on too and I love it. While not quite as quiet as the fiberglass top, it's way more weatherproof and warm! I really like the Alpine White/Tan combo.

Yes but you must buy the first 10 rounds, after that we will forgive you for selling it to the punk kid that bought it. But only for one night, then you will have to start over again. May be cheeper just to go ahead and buy another 90

I just put the Badger on yesterday and today it was nearly 60 degrees (shh, let the masses think that all of Colorado is frigid and snowcapped) so I haven't gotten to test the temp rating. However I can use my cell phone again while over 30mph- super quiet and really dresses up the rig.

One thing I did tonight was install additional rivets along the side curtain channel. It really stiffened the entire channel piece up and prevents it from flexing out. Now i've got a SNUG fit.

Lucky you; mine was a beeyotch. Couldn't get it the first time in a ~55-60 deg garage. Only after a 12hr soak in a 80deg garage could I get mine stretched enough. But wow, what a nice fit!

Yah, Chris mentioned the extra rivets and I think I could use them. How much of a pain in the arse was that? What size rivets and what type rivet gun are you using? Maybe Santa will have to bring me a rivet gun...

It's cake. Went to Murdochs and picked up an ARROW hand rivet gun for $18 plus 3/16" aluminum rivets ($7). Marked out 4.5" between OEM rivets, drilled 3/16" holes, popped rivets in, painted rivet ends and it's bomber. Took all of 30 mins.

Best part is that i honestly can't tell the difference between factory rivets and the ones i installed. Matched perfectly.

Excellent, sounds easy. I'll put it on my list of things to do. Thanks for the encouragement!
