Source for metal in Mass

I recently picked up a welder of my own (I took a class a while back). I've already done some small mods to my oem brush guard to go around the Husky winch I got... that was quite a learning experience!

Anyways, I need a place in Mass to get metal. I'm thinking of making some skid plates myself. Anyone around Framingham know of a place that sells in "small" quantities?

Thanks!
Tyler

It's not what your asking for but Yarde Metals (in Pelham, NH) has free delivery (up in where I'm at, which is a lot farther than you). We use em with good luck.

But they like you to have a forklift when the truck gets there, so that might really not be an option for you

*and there is no "minimum" order if I remember correctly.

For small orders I have bought specialty metals at "Metal Source" in Woburn which is part of "Admiral Metals" they have a retail shop for cut offs, etc - I think it's mostly SS, brass, alumn etc. http://www.admiralmetals.com/Admiral...tlet_store.jsp

When I built my sliders I bought a couple 5' tubes from Haverhill Steel / Salvage http://www.haverhillsteel.com/

For bigger orders I've bought from:
Central Steel in Somerville http://www.centralsteelsupply.com/
Turner Steel http://www.turnersteelcoinc.com/

Good luck.

Google Metal Supermarkets. I get everything I need from their scrap rack. They will cut to length too.
